What can I say, sexy little pair of scissors. Scissor me timbers
Lovely scissors! They're light in hand, finished impeccably, and my go to scissor. The FlyTier Straight has the SuperCut blades, one razor, one serrated, that makes working with the strongest thread and materials a cinch. I'm a fan!
I can really get into those tight areas when tying a size 24 flys. The Fly Tier super cut scissors has made fly tying a lot easier and faster for me.
My other scissors push the hairs away before they cut. This scissor just cuts it where it stands. Really nice, best I have ever tried

When I say... these are to most pleasurable tools to lay your hands on, I couldn't grasp more accurate wording.. Oh my gosh they are exactly what you need.. and fit exactly right.. and I have extremely large hands..

I’ve been tying flies for about 16 years, and I’ve used a number of different brands of scissors—all of which were “fine”. I ordered a pair of Fly Tier Renomed scissors a couple years ago and really love them. The scissor tips are aligned perfectly and they haven’t loosened after tying hundreds of flies. I have two pairs now and will always have some on my desk!
I started tying with a Thompson A vise in 1972. Using that now would be like riding a 1972 Raleigh Grand Prix in the Tour de France. So we have better tools now. We'd be dumb not to use them. This thinking compelled me to step up to a new first pair of Renomed scissors. No regrets coyote. Just yesterday I finished a size 10 Adams Irresistible using just the scissors to shape the spun deer hair. No razor blade. No kidding. Finished up smooth even around the margins. Surgical precision. Thats quite a task for any pair of fly tying scissors. I think I might skip the razor for all my spun deer hair-- here on out. Now all my old scissors are in a state of neglect. Just like my old Raleigh Grand Prix.
Fly Tying Scissors - The FlyTier Straight This scissors is really incredible, its weight, very light, perfect, and the sensation to the touch, it seems that it blends perfectly with the hand (Photo 1), giving security and comfort in tying. Its extremely fine point, just like that of a needle, allows you to reach places inaccessible to a fly, to cut extremely fine materials. Thanks to its serrated blade (Photo 2), its cut is unique and perfect, capable of cutting nano silk, in a single movement. It is a recurring use scissors, especially to be used in small details, leaving perfect surfaces, free of any excess. For example, I have used it a lot, on pellets and fly parts that need smooth surfaces to be coated with resins. Its cosmetics are perfect, it reminds me of a piece of jewelry.

They don’t seem that sharp micro blade and curved blades are sharp not real impressed with standard straight blade don’t seem all that sharp
The scissors I tested and purchased (out of stock and delivered to my home after the fact) at the fly fishing expo in Denver Colorado we're not the ones I ordered and also a more expensive price. They do not perform nearly as well as the ones I tested and purchased. Not nearly as sharp nor precise as tested or promised. I couldn't be more disappointed. I expect a full refund or a replacement.
I liked the scissors very much. they are sharp and cut very well. They feel very stable in my hand. I'd like to have a pair just like them but about 1/2 inch shorter.

I have been fly tying better part of thirty years and I really never had a set of scissors like Renomed Scissors. Amazing. And to have a set of four with specific purpose as well. The long and large material scissor is a game changer. The precision points on the small and medium with razor edges just blow me away! USA MADE YEAH! By the way I could be wrong but I think these are the same as PETIJEAN’s kit…. Am I right. They gotta be…

Renomed are the best. Sharp blades, love the serrations. Tips are small enough to cut a single hair. Won’t use any other scissor.
